While he never sold an image during his short 62 year life, the Original image is now part of the permanent collection of The Boca Museum of Art; one of 20 they have. The rest of the image is an image I took near the Georgia Mountains near Elijay. Composite created and part colorized using Photoshop and Lightroom.

I have spent years working with the treasure my father, M. Edmund Lautin left me prior to his untimely death at the age of 61 in 1975. A restoration, from a Minox, tiny negative, and creating what I call "Photographic art" restoring and colorizing the image.

I was a teacher at the Museum and was also the Event Photographer for a year or so. During the events, I would have the opportunity to create a series I call “Events as Art.”

A stunningly beautiful day at Hollywood beach, Florida. Sometimes it is the details in the photo that add to the magic; The woman on the left with her towel, the man with the cooler walking and the two women chatting.

      Songes et Lumieres at Montmartre

Staying in Montmartre and bringing a tripod to Paris in May changed my photographic opportunities. Renting an apartment on Rue Coustou off Rue Lepic afforded me the ability to take a slow, uphill walk to Sacré Coeur almost every evening. The streets of Rue Lepic are filled with some of the best food shopping in Paris; more butcher, flower and cheese stores than I found in most other areas I visited. Turning east I would then walk down Rue des Abbesses while deciding which uphill street to take that evening. 

Arriving at the base of Sacré Coeur, it was time to decide where to enjoy the night and take photos; set up above the Rue du Cardinal Dubois and enjoy the energy of the crowd and the would-be rock singers or below and take advantage of the unobstructed vista of the city below. 

Two lovers in Paris chill their feet in the Fountain of Sacre' Cour. This image evokes emotions of the innocence of youth enjoying Summertime any place on Earth. If this were not taken at Sacre' Coeur , it could certainly be Norman Rockwell. 

Another Paris favorite. Walking back to our Paris apartment, Eli and I heard this music and we were drawn into one of those special, never to be forgotten evenings in Paris, a dance at a local community center. Great fun, folks just enjoying the music and the evening. What I loved about this image is not only the improbable green scarf on the smiling woman, but the man next to her so startled!

Vintage Paris fashion in the beautiful store front brings pleasure to the eye ...

Great Band; she is amazing with the voice of an angel who, at times, can sound like Janis Joplin.

This is a recreated proof sheet from a photo shoot at LifeNet4Families. I typically take between 50 and 100 images of each client and return the following week with six to ten copies for them.

This is from my father's collection; this image was taken in the 1930s of my Uncle Leon, my father's older brother.

Only in New Orleans does this make sense - elegance and decadence - and always a party.

This is an actual image of the moon rising over South Beach, about 10 minutes after the moon broke thru the horizon. The Lowes Hotel is on the right, helping to frame the image.

What do you notice when you walk by another person? Does the body language tell you a story? A man reads his paper as the sun comes up in South Beach. It's morning, quiet, peaceful and serene with a new day dawning. Or is this person sitting alone, outside without a home?

Those seen but never noticed details around us every day! Yes, take time to smell the roses - AND to notice the beauty in your every day surroundings!

A sailboat with bright red sails, following two sea birds, a cruise ship floating above the buildings of South Beach, I am quite sure this is one of the first times you have seen a site like this! It's all about perspective!

Postcard perfect on a magnificent day in Switzerland , this church sits on pristine Lake Lucerne.

For children and adults alike, the magic of Harry Potter is alive and well!

This lovely and noble rooster was posing for me in Key West. His coloring reminds me of the French countryside. I placed him in front of an image of the Pompidou Museum and voila, magic! I guess he belonged in Paris all along.

Our Cat with No Name selected to sit on our art book on Matisse and other great French Impressionist artists. In the background is Claude Monet's home and garden in Giverny, France. What is reality?

Taken at the incredible Biltmore Hotel in Coral Gables on my 70th birthday. So many nooks and crannies in the building. Endless photo opportunities, endless magic. If you ever have a chance, don't miss this glorious landmark.

I LOVE Oreos! National Biscuit Company, New Orleans - the famous tag line "Uneeda Bisquit" ... founded in 1898 Nabisco is not only one of America's iconic brands but one of the largest corporations in the world.

Taken at Fairchild Garden's Miami, an homage to Matisse, one of my favorite painters, peaceful, tranquil.

A simple Koi pond becomes one of nature's most beautiful visions when you look carefully. No wonder these fish are a favorite for artists through out the centuries.

Taken in front of the Smithsonian Museum in Washington, D.C. these full bloom tulips seem to have absorbed the flame of the sun.

One red tulip stands out amongst the crowd, evoking emotions regarding the beauty which results from our own individuality. (Image taken in Washington DC.)

Selected for exhibit at the Coral Springs Museum of Art.  This image is now available only as a limited edition directly from the artist.  Please contact the artist for additional information.  ...  I was speaking at a conference in Washington and my first flight was cancelled; what great luck to be re-ticketed on this Jet Blue flight, a seat by the windows, camera bag on my lap and a full moon rising! This image was one of two sent to Jet Blue- a letter from the CEO followed saying this was hanging in their corporate office!  (I hope it is still there!)

Sometimes the most obvious can become the most exciting; a wine by the glass menu, a sugar bowl, offset by beautiful colors in the background. This image hangs in my kitchen!
